Despite the flooding, UHL in Iowa City and Ankeny is currently
operational and performing services.
For updates on University of Iowa flooding response go to uiflood.blogspot.com
For public health updates please go to the IDPH website www.idph.state.ia.us. Please note that the recent flooding in Iowa City and the surrounding
areas has disrupted schedules at the University Hygienic Laboratory and
its associated programs. For this reason, the Iowa Maternal Screening
Program will not be ready to accept samples for the iowa integrated
screen on June 30 as originally anticipated. It is unknown at this time
when the University Hygienic Laboratory will be able to begin accepting
samples for the Iowa Integrated Screen. Local providers and
laboratories will be notified when this screening becomes available and
this web site will likewise be updated. In the meantime, the program
continues to accept samples for the quad screen. Please call the Iowa
Maternal Screening Program at 319-356-3561 with questions or
concerns.
Please make sure that all clinicians involved with drawing/ordering
maternal screen testing are notified of this change.
