Looking for an alternative to regular petroleum products or just the
cheapest gas prices in town? If so, these websites are your ticket to
ride in the green lane. 
- To find the most competitive gas prices in the state, go to
Iowa State GasPrices.com. In
addition to the lowest and highest prices in the state, the "Gas Price
Temperature Map" prompt at the top of the page links to a national map
with prices displayed by county.
- If your vehicle uses E85, check out the
National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition
site to find an E85 station near you as well as those
throughout the nation.
- Ethanol is a bit more difficult to find outside of the corn belt
than other alternatives. The U.S. Department of Energy's
Alternative Fuels Data Center
offers a search by zip code
- You say you need to charge your electric car? Want biodiesel,
liquefied national gas, hydrogen or compressed gas for your ride? The
Alternative Fuels Data Center lists those, too.
