Atchison receives Loyola award for leadership

Christopher Atchison, University Hygienic Laboratory director and associate dean for the UI College of Public Health, has received the Damen Award from Loyola University Chicago. 

Damen Award

The award is given to alumni in recognition of leadership in industry and community and for service to others.  It is named for Arnold Damen, primary founder of Loyola University Chicago.  Atchison earned an undergraduate degree in political science from the university in 1971.

The award was presented on June 6 at the 2009 Founders Dinner.
